ConJazz is the UK’s first head-to-head battle platform created specifically for contemporary and jazz dancers. Created by George Butler, ConJazz brings dancers together to explore freestyle, improvisation, musicality and individual artistry in a competitive environment. The platform creates space for dancers to move beyond set choreography, respond instinctively to music and each other, and develop their own movement identity while celebrating the technical and expressive foundations of contemporary and jazz dance.

UK's first ever contemporary & jazz battles
ConJazz was created to explore what happens when contemporary and jazz dancers are given a competitive environment built around freedom, individuality and musical response.
Through head-to-head battles, dancers are challenged to make movement in the moment rather than rely solely on rehearsed choreography. The project brings together performance, improvisation, community and competition to create a distinctive space within the dance scene.
