Conjazz

ConJazz was created to explore what happens when contemporary and jazz dancers are given a competitive environment built around freedom, individuality and musical response.

Through head-to-head battles, dancers are challenged to make movement in the moment rather than rely solely on rehearsed choreography. The project brings together performance, improvisation, community and competition to create a distinctive space within the dance scene.

Development Lab

The Beginner Development Lab is a progressive training programme created by George Butler to help dancers build confidence, movement awareness and a broad technical foundation.

The programme brings together contemporary, jazz and ballet-based movement alongside musicality, improvisation, performance, movement memory and individual expression.

Choreography

George Butler's choreographic practice explores movement through physical sensation, musicality, performance and individual expression.

His work is interested in what happens when dancers move beyond simply reproducing choreography and begin to engage with how movement feels, changes and communicates through the body.
